4th October: Things are hotting up with Once and For All. We've now fixed our dates for both the performance and workshops. Looking forward to starting our research period and working with the community.
Bendigo Cemetery residency30/05/18 I will be at Bendigo cemetery from Saturday (2nd June) undertaking a residency to gather some ideas and images for sculpture and the workshop that will be part of the new Such As They Are show 'Once And For All' later in the year.
The sexton's house, where I'll be based, has open days this weekend from 11-3pm, and I am happy to have visitors any day of the week too. Please come along to say hello and find out more about the project. I'll be there from 9am to 2pm every day next week. There will be public workshops coming up later on in the year, and the show in the newly refurbished mortuary chapel 30th Nov, and 1st, 2nd Dec. |
Once And For All
21/12/17 We're very excited to be developing a new show next year. It's called 'Once And For All', funded through the Regional Centre for Culture, and will take place in the gorgeous Mortuary Chapel in Bendigo Cemetery. We will be cooking up a story/sculpture/puppet/death combination with customary Such As They Are humour and magic. There will be workshops too, so opportunities to get involved will follow.
18/2/16 Nightmare is performing at Enlighten Festival in Canberra for the 4th and 5th of March. http://enlightencanberra.com.au We're forward to it. Really interesting programme. I have to confess though I'm not looking forward to the drive. That little ute of ours does not like that float. I'm getting together several hours of talking books.
17/2/16 We're very pleased to find out Transplant & Nightmare have been nominated for The Greenroom Awards, Melbourne's theatre awards. http://www.greenroom.org.au/Main/Index.aspx Big thanks to Tim Ratcliff, Dave Houston, Jude Anderson & Punctum, Jacques Soddell, Lulu Lala, Castlemaine State Festival, Jim Coad, The Melbourne Puppet Festival, Club Voltaire, Nati Fringe and all the other venues and people who've lent a hand. Thank you all.
5/2/16 Nightmare has just finished performing at Wodonga Council's 'Friday on my Mind' - a really enjoyable event that happens once a month throughout most of the year. You always hear the expression 'something for everyone' but that's really true for this event . Check it out. http://www.wodonga.vic.gov.au/about-us/media-centre/latest-news/20141014802105.asp
16/5/15- We've finished performing Nightmare at Showcase Victoria. The performance seemed to be well received with lots of participants, despite the rain, stepping outside to catch the show. Thanks to Dave Houston who represented me in my BlueBoat hat while I was outside performing.
1/2/15 Hello, welcome to our new website. It's all part of getting ready to attend Showcase Victoria on the 12th and 13th of May at the Hawthorn Arts Centre where we've been selected to perform Nightmare. Here's some photos from Nightmare's development.
